  My experience with this clinic has been excellent over the years, but they should change their name because they definitely are not a "family" clinic. My wife has gone years without being sick so she has not needed to visit a doctor. However, she became seriously sick over the weekend and her chest hurt because of the congestion. When she asked me to make an appointment for her, I knew she must be seriously hurting. But when I asked the receptionist to make an appointment, she heartlessly told me to try the walk-in clinic because my wife apparently has not been sick enough over the years to qualify as a patient at Mercy, a word that should also be changed since it's clear the doctors and staff have no mercy. My wife is my family. I should be able to take her to get the same level of care as I receive. We Americans like to claim that our healthcare system is superior to socialized systems practiced by Canadians and the British. One of the falsehoods we tend to repeat the most is that socialized systems cause long lines. That's not true, but if it were, at least there is a line and the patients will be seen. At Mercy, they'll straight up reject a patient.
